through both wing joints with a sharp knife; discard wingtips. Give the chicken a quick dusting of salt and pepper. Broil 4–6 inches from the heat source for 6–8 minutes on each side, or until
golden brown. Move to a 5-quart slow cooker that has been oiled. Pour over the wings the mixture of ketchup, brown sugar,
vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic, and liquid smoke (if using). Toss in the coat. Cover and simmer for two to three
hours on low, or until chicken is cooked. To serve, sprinkle sesame seeds, onions, and jalapeños on top if preferred.
