Should you feed your kitten a dry food or a wet food?
While both wet and dry food are appropriate for kittens, each has pros and cons of its
own. In addition to offering more calories and minerals, wet food helps maintain
the health of the kidneys and urine in kittens. Dry food may help clean teeth,
is easier to serve in families with several cats, and lets kittens eat as much
as they like. For kittens, a mix of wet and dry food may be advantageous.
Until their teeth are developed enough to chew solid food, kittens should only be fed wet food.
